--------------

A bird so frequently seen that they're actually rarely photographed. Regarded as pests in many urban areas, the Canada Goose is nonetheless a very adaptable and successful creature (much like ourselves in that regard! -- it's always interesting to me how we tend to dismiss most other animals or birds as vermin if they're able to live in a variety of environments, under conditions in which many would perish; crows, geese, rabbits, foxes, coyotes etc are just a few of the creatures we regard so lowly). I liked the detail and the lines in this bird's pose, and thought it would make an interesting photograph. Image taken on the Chattahoochee River, Georgia. (Branta canadensis).
