Flying Gull

Flying gull, Kachemak Bay, Alaska.

I confess to not knowing the various species of gulls like I should, and hence haven't yet identified this particluar bird. The image was taken whilst on a short lull from the madness that is shooting eagles in Homer, Kachemak Bay, Alaska. The light was beautiful, and the gulls flying all around. I shot this handheld from the beach.
