Great Egret

Great egret, Ardea alba, in flight, St. Augustine, Florida.

By watching this Great Egret for quite some time, I observed what I thought to be an interesting pose as the bird came in to land. It took me several atempts, but I finally caught the image I had been looking for, a bird almost vertical in the air, legs down and ready for landing. (Ardea alba).
