Shorebirds, waterfowl, wading birds, gulls, swallows, tarmigan.
Most of the wading birds in these photos were taken in Florida or Georgia. For the most part, the rest of the birds were photographed in the backcountry of wild Alaska. There the birds are not as easily approached as they are in many of the other places they're more commonly photographed. When I can find the time, I head to the mountains and seek out my subjects there.
