An adult bald eagle swoops down to grab a fish from Kachemak Bay. The eagle isn't really fishing; the fish, of course, is a dead herring, tossed into the bay by a friend of mine, as we photographed the eagles of Homer. Bald eagle catching a fish (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), Alaska.
