Evening Stream.

This image was also taken close to our campsite by an alpine lake, on the Iceberg Lake trip, Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, Alaska. In fact, this is very close to where we ate dinner that particular night. I spent a few hours shooting that evening and came home with several images I enjoy.

This photo was a first for me. I actually took 2 separate images, exposing one for the brighter sky and mountain peak, and a separate exposure for the foreground, which was in deep shade. I scanned the 2 and blended them together. The other alternative was to use the more traditional method of placing a graduated neautral density filter over the front of the lens, to help balance the contrasting levels of ambient light in the scene.

I'm constantly working towards furthering my stock lists, and improving my portfolio. These images are all of wild subjects, in their natural environment.
