Backlit Bighorn Ram.

I think taking chances is one of my biggest attributes as a nature photographer. In order to catch a nice ram like this, backlit by the warm afternoon sun, I had to forgo the standard position, and make my way around behind him. A willingness to miss out on other images was required, but I was more than happy with the images that resulted. I took this photograph while trudging around the Canadian Rockies, Jasper National Park, Canada.
