Caribou Fighting.

What more can I say about this opportunity? I hiked a few miles across the Alaskan tundra, trying to find some nice caribou bulls. By lunchtime I had found a nice herd. The light started to come out, the bulls climbed this nearby high ride, and I spent one of the greatest afternoons of my life photographing these animals. I took many images, portraits and headshots, but my favorites are those where I was lucky enough to capture photographs of these 2 fighting, sparring and playing in readiness for the upcoming rut. I took some closer photos, but preferred the wide angle shots, showing the awesome fall colors of the open tundra as a backdrop to the action. Denali National Park, Alaska.
